Regulations on Joint Ventures of Competing Airlines

There is no specific legal framework governing joint ventures between competing airlines. Therefore, their regulation is based on the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law dated July 26, 2006 No. 9 135 "On the Protection of Competition", under which establishment and reorganization of commercial companies, as well as conclusion of agreements between business competitors on joint activities, are subject to a prior consent of the antimonopoly authority.
